Migraines and More
As
an accident/symptom-prone individual I have seen many
doctors for a variety of injuries and ailments over the years. In
2004 I began suffering devastating migraines that led to
uncontrolled vomiting. The headaches and vomiting
continued on a weekly basis. When I met Dr. Kara she asked me for all my symptoms. After a
complete examination, Dr. Kara explained
how my central nervous system was likely causing all the various symptoms and
related them to the specific injuries I had had. After a series of
adjustments, the improvement of my physical pain in my jaw, shoulders,
knees, back and neck was immediate. When she suggested a controlled diet
to test the response of other symptoms, I enthusiastically accepted. Someone
finally seemed to understand the full extent of my injuries, symptoms and suffering.
Several weeks into my treatment and new diet and I only had two headache and vomiting episodes. Three months in and I am headache and vomit free! I come to her when anything's bothering me, even the common cold or pulled muscle, knowing it will be gone when I leave. I have found my energy level and all other aspects of my life have improved since I've started seeing Dr. Kara .
Thank you Dr. Kara
for believing I'm worthy of perfect health and helping me achieve it!
Neck Pain
I went to see Dr. Kara after she ran a thermal scan of my neck. I had shooting pain in the left side of my neck that extended from my left ear down through my left shoulder. I was skeptical of the scan's effectiveness and she was unaware of my ailment at that time. Sure enough, the scan showed major inflammation in the C1-C3 vertebrae area. I play electric bass in a band and perform regular shows where we play for several hours. The pain, as well as a monstrous knot in my left trapezious muscle, started after a weekend of having a cold and playing three shows in a row. It had not subsided for several months and was becoming detrimental to my enjoyment of playing music, swimming, yoga and even just washing my hair or getting a good night's sleep.
On the first visit, Dr. Kara and staff gave me a very thorough health and well-being examination that was more extensive than my "regular" doctor had even done. Within two visits I was already noticing dramatic improvements. I believe it was after my third visit that upon waking one morning I raised my left arm and the pain which I had become accustomed to wasn't there. Gone. I continue to see Dr. Kara to ensure my vertebrae remain in-line and my pain doesn't return, although now my sessions are much farther apart. I have also noticed many other beneficial physical and emotional changes as a result of my sessions and examinations with Dr. Kara and some minor diet and lifestyle changes. I would highly recommend Dr. Kara and the rest of the staff at Santa Barbara Wellness for Life because that is exactly what they want for their patients, total wellness for life.
